Going Back to Work

I went back to work on May 14th, I cried the entire way to work. I called my best friend in Japan and she tried to consul me and it helped but I still missed my little monkey. I am a very luck girl because my mom comes over and keeps him so i dont have to worry about him being loved and taken care of, but it was still hard to leave him. When I got to work all my students were excited to see me, but I felt like I was in someone else's classroom. Talk about a weird feeling. The rest of the week was good. It was nice to get out the house and go to work but I was ready for 3:00 so I could rush home and see my sweet boy!!

  1. Moms are the best for sure! I have been fortunate enough to have my mom taking care of my little man for three years! It is the best feeling not having to worry about how he's doing. I call him every day to see how his day is going. It is the greatest thing! The only downside I am experiencing now is that he doesn't have the social interaction that he would have if he were to go to daycare. But, he is probably smarter than many of the kids that go to preschool because he is getting the one-on-one attention.

  2. Yeah, my mom and I have discussed that. Lucky for me I know like 5 people who have had or are going to have a baby this year. So hopefully we can do plenty of play dates and it won't be too much of a transition when he does start school!
